Inline Showers

Inline showers feature a straight configuration with glass panels that run parallel to each other, offering a sleek and modern look.

Inline showers offer versatility and customization options to suit various bathroom layouts and design preferences. Whether you prefer a minimalist frameless design or a sleek semi-frameless configuration, inline showers provide a stylish and functional solution for residential bathrooms.

Fixed Panels

Fixed panels are stationary glass panels that are affixed to the wall or floor, forming the sides of the shower enclosure. They provide structural support and stability to the shower while allowing for customization in terms of glass type and finish.

Fixed panels can be clear, frosted, or textured, offering varying degrees of privacy and aesthetics. Fixed panels can be secured and customized with channel or clip options (while adhering to safety standards). Doorless options available.

Depending on the size of your shower one or more fixed panels may be needed for structural integrity or aesthetic appeal.

Doors

For inline showers, the door serves as the entry point to the shower enclosure. It can be a swinging door or a sliding door, depending on space constraints and design preferences. Showers can be customized with various hardware finishes and handle designs to complement the overall bathroom decor.

CGM will ensure that your final design is functional in your space and suits your needs and style preferences.

Angled Showers

Angled showers feature walls or ceilings that are not perpendicular, adding architectural interest to the space. They require custom glass solutions to fit the unique angles, ensuring a seamless and stylish shower enclosure.

Neo-Angled

Neo-angle glass showers feature a unique triangular design that optimizes space in smaller bathrooms or unconventional layouts.

Neo-angle glass showers are designed to fit into corners, making them ideal for bathrooms with limited space or irregular layouts.

With angled glass panels that meet at a central point, these showers offer a modern and stylish solution for maximizing functionality while adding visual interest to the bathroom.

90 Degree

90 degree glass showers feature a corner configuration with glass panels forming a right angle, providing a sleek and space-saving solution for bathrooms. These showers offer a modern and stylish design while maximizing functionality and floor space.

CGM will provide recommendations for a finished product that exceeds expectations.

Don't worry, we'll work around it.

Pony Walls and Benches

Utilizing existing pony walls is an efficient way to create a shower enclosure within a bathroom space. Pony walls are short walls typically measuring around 3 feet in height. By incorporating these existing walls into the design, you can define the shower area without the need for extensive construction, saving time and costs.

Glass shower installations can be tailored to accommodate existing or custom-built benches, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing space efficiency.

Custom Edges

Showers with angled walls or ceilings add architectural interest and unique design elements to the bathroom space. These angled features can create challenges when designing a shower enclosure but also offer opportunities for creative solutions and custom designs.

Transoms

Fixed

A fixed transom in a glass shower is a stationary horizontal panel located above the shower door or enclosure. It serves as a structural element to support the upper portion of the shower enclosure while allowing natural light to penetrate the space. Fixed transoms are typically made of glass and are permanently affixed to the surrounding walls.

When Needed for Structural Support: A fixed transom may be needed for structural support in larger shower enclosures or those with tall glass panels. It helps distribute the weight of the glass panels evenly and prevents sagging or bowing over time. Additionally, fixed transoms provide stability and reinforcement to the shower enclosure, ensuring safety and longevity.

Operable

An operable transom in a shower or steam shower is a horizontal panel located above the shower door or enclosure that can be opened and closed manually or electronically. It serves as a ventilation and steam release mechanism, allowing excess moisture and steam to escape from the shower enclosure while maintaining privacy and preventing water damage to surrounding walls and fixtures.

In Shower: In a regular shower, an operable transom helps improve air circulation and ventilation, reducing humidity and preventing the buildup of mold and mildew. It enhances comfort and prevents fogging of mirrors and glass surfaces.

In Steam Showers: In a steam shower, an operable transom plays a crucial role in regulating steam levels and temperature. By opening the transom, excess steam can escape, preventing the enclosure from becoming too hot and creating a more comfortable and enjoyable steam shower experience. Additionally, operable transoms in steam showers often feature seals or gaskets to ensure a tight seal when closed, preventing steam from escaping when not in use.

Steam Showers

Steam showers, an increasingly popular feature in modern bathrooms, offer a luxurious spa-like experience right in the comfort of one’s home. These innovative shower enclosures are equipped with a steam generator that produces steam, enveloping the user in a soothing mist. Glass and glazing services play a crucial role in the design and installation of steam showers, providing high-quality glass panels and enclosures that are capable of withstanding the humid and high-temperature environment created by the steam. With expert craftsmanship and attention to detail, glass and glazing professionals ensure that steam showers are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, creating a serene oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation within the home.

Steam showers have glass panels that extend from ceiling to floor and typically have operable transoms to control the release of steam.

Clear Vs. Low-Iron Glass "What's The Difference?"

Clear Tempered glass is the standard across the industry. It starts as a soda-lime based annealed glass that is then cooked in an oven at over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit and then quickly cooled using high-pressure blasts of air. This strengthens the glass to over 4x that of regular annealed glass. For example, this is the type of glass found in your car. Although Classified as “Clear” You can spot tempered glass by it’s green hue.
Low-Iron glass is ultra clear and removes the green coloring that is found in regular Clear tempered glass. This is done by utilizing a silica based formula free of iron oxides that remove the impurities found in clear glass. This allows light transmission to be anywhere from 90-96%. These properties make it the go-to for Luxury Showers, Storefronts, Aquariums, and Display Cases. The Hi-definition properties accentuate whatever is presented behind it. Looks wonderful with White and Black tile for example.
